Olympiacos has officially announced the signing of 27-year-old Armenian international left-back Nair Tiknizyan from Red Star Belgrade. The transfer is valued at approximately 5 million euros, following his arrival in Greece and successful medical examinations on August 17.

Tiknizyan, who previously played for CSKA Moscow, Lokomotiv Moscow, and Avangard Kursk, is expected to serve as a primary replacement for Ortega in the defensive line. This move follows other recent squad reinforcements, such as the midfield addition of Freiler.

Upon completing the transfer, Tiknizyan described Olympiacos as ‘the best club in Greece and one of the stronger clubs in Europe.’ He noted his readiness for high expectations, citing his experience with pressure in Serbia, and referred to Red Star Belgrade and Olympiacos as ‘brother clubs.’ Having made 54 appearances for the Serbian champions since joining last July, Tiknizyan stated his goals for the upcoming season include winning trophies and progressing as far as possible in the Europa League.
