Olympique Lyonnais (OL) has navigated a period of squad fragmentation due to international duty. The reserve team recently lost a 2-1 friendly match against Espaly, a game played with a depleted roster as six regular starters were away on international assignments.

Following the international break, the club has resumed training under coach Paulo Fonseca. While several players, including Ernest Nuamah and Alejandro Gomes Rodriguez, were active with their national teams, the squad is now preparing for an upcoming Ligue 1 fixture against Lens.
