Olympique Lyonnais defender Nicolas Tagliafico recently criticized the club’s tactical approach, expressing frustration with “tactical rigidity” and a lack of individual creativity. He argued that players have become too dependent on automated play and coach-driven instructions, which can lead to stagnant performances.

Following these comments, the club is facing various squad management and transfer challenges. While maintaining stability amidst several player absences, Lyon is reportedly considering the departure of Tagliafico. The Argentine defender, whose contract expires at the end of the season, has become a target for Juventus. Such a transfer could offer the club financial relief by reducing his salary.
