Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMÜ) has demonstrated growth in both athletic performance and academic standing. In the 2025-2026 Turkish University Sports Federation competitions, the institution rose to 13th place out of 167 universities, securing 38 medals. This follows a significant improvement from its 66th-place ranking in the 2023-2024 season.

Parallel to these athletic achievements, the university is being positioned for academic advancement.
