Opera has introduced a native travel eSIM feature integrated directly into its Android mobile browser. Developed in partnership with Holiday.com, the service allows users to purchase and manage mobile data plans without the need for third-party applications.

The feature provides connectivity for the entire smartphone, enabling device-wide access for applications such as maps and messaging services. To promote the launch, Opera is offering an initial 3 GB of free 5G data valid for three days, which requires no credit card or email registration. This promotional offer is limited to specific markets, including the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Canada, United Arab Emirates, Brazil, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, and Poland.

The service covers 47 global destinations. Once the free trial period ends or data is exhausted, users can purchase additional packages of 3 GB, 5 GB, or 10 GB valid for 30 days. Opera claims these plans are, on average, “33% cheaper than competitors”.
