The municipality of Oradea has implemented various urban management and community initiatives. In late September, the city announced an autumn cleaning campaign in collaboration with sanitation operator RER Vest, allowing residents to dispose of vegetable waste, such as leaves and branches, free of charge between October 5 and October 30.

By mid-October, the city held its City Day celebrations, featuring ceremonies attended by local and national officials to honor community history and honorary citizens. However, the municipality also faced scrutiny regarding its ‘mobile urban forest’ project. Approximately six months after its launch, the 270 large planters funded by European resources have reportedly been misused by residents as ashtrays and trash receptacles, raising questions about the effectiveness of the public investment.
