Orlando is hosting its 22nd annual ‘Come Out With Pride’ festival, themed ‘Feel the Beat’. The week of festivities began on October 10 with community activities including wine tastings, themed dance parties, and ‘Rhythm: Pride on Wheels’.

The main event is scheduled for October 17 at Lake Eola Park. Organized by a volunteer-led nonprofit, the free festival features a marketplace, live entertainment across two stages—the Diva Stage and the Sonic Bloom Field—and a fireworks finale. The event aims to foster visibility and acceptance for the LGBTQIA+ community through music, drag performances, and cultural displays.

A parade through downtown Orlando is also planned. During the parade, U.S. Representative Maxwell Frost will host the all-queer, woman-led punk band The Pheromones on his float. The band, which formed at UCF in 2022, intends to perform a repeating three-song set, including their unreleased anthem ‘Push Back’.

Following the festival, reports indicate that LGBTQ+ Pride celebrations in Florida are navigating complex financial landscapes. While the Orlando event included resource booths for gender-affirming care and various community organizations, other regional celebrations, such as St. Pete Pride, are facing significant funding deficits attributed to legislation like Senate Bill 1134, which limits government support for DEI programs.
