Orlando Pirates head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has addressed various aspects of squad management and personnel. Initially, the coach discussed the limited playing time of striker Sebastian Pedersen, citing intense competition and tactical adaptation requirements. During this period, four players, including Tshepang Moremi, reached 50 appearances under Ouaddou.

Ouaddou has defended the form of winger Oswin Appollis, describing him as a “diamond” while noting fatigue from international commitments. Despite Appollis having made 15 appearances and scoring two goals this season, Ouaddou has occasionally benched him to prioritize players based on current form and match-specific needs.

Regarding player development, Ouaddou detailed his tactical approach to integrating individual strengths into the team system, specifically highlighting winger Tshepang Moremi, who has scored seven goals in 11 appearances. The coach emphasized the challenge of balancing young talent development with the necessity of fielding a competitive squad in the Premier Soccer League.

Additionally, former assistant coach Mandla Ncikazi addressed rumors of a fallout with Ouaddou following his departure to Golden Arrows. Ncikazi declined to confirm or deny a breakdown in their relationship, stating that a professional has a responsibility to protect the working environment of their employers.
