In late September, Mayor Michela Glorio addressed recent vandalism at Piazzale Europa, where benches were uprooted and walls defaced, prompting a request for regional funding to expand the municipal video surveillance system. During the same period, the administration announced renovation plans for the former Cinema Concerto to repair humidity damage caused by September 2024 floods. While a contractor has been identified, local opposition has questioned the prolonged closure and the amount of public funds allocated to the structure. By October, the administration faced scrutiny regarding the maintenance of sports facilities after a thunderstorm caused significant water infiltration at the PalaBaldinelli arena, interrupting a basketball game. Mayor Glorio defended the administration’s record, noting that 80,000 euros have been allocated for roof repairs at the arena and that over half a million euros have been spent on routine maintenance of municipal gyms and sports facilities throughout 2026. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-10: Osimo Mayor defends sports facility maintenance after roof leaks Osimo Mayor Michela Glorio defended the city's maintenance efforts after heavy rain caused roof leaks at the PalaBaldinelli sports arena, interrupting a basketball game. 4 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/osimo-mayor-defends-sports-facility-maintenance-after-roof-leaks ### 2026-09-25: Osimo officials address vandalism and cinema repairs Osimo officials are addressing recent vandalism at Piazzale Europa and announcing upcoming repairs to the former Cinema Concerto to resolve long-standing structural and humidity issues. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/osimo-officials-address-vandalism-and-cinema-repairs --- Cite as: Osimo municipal infrastructure and maintenance issues.
