The University of Ottawa Gee-Gees football team experienced mixed results in OUA competition. On September 14, the Gee-Gees secured a 20-18 road victory against the Laurier Golden Hawks, led by Souleymane Camara’s 135 rushing yards. This win moved Ottawa to a 3-0 record and a No. 10 national ranking, while the loss caused Laurier to drop from No. 5 to No. 9 in the national rankings.

However, the Gee-Gees later faced a 41-20 defeat against the Queen’s Gaels. Despite holding a 20-14 halftime lead, Ottawa was overtaken in the second half following a momentum-shifting play by Queen’s linebacker Kalawa Audit.
