The manga series ‘Overlord [Shin] Sekai-hen’ (Overlord: New World) has entered an indefinite hiatus. The illustrator, Matsuki, announced via social media that the pause is necessary due to hospitalization and the subsequent need for medical treatment and rest.

The hiatus occurs as the adaptation begins the Holy Kingdom arc, following the release of Chapter 23-3 in September 2026. Kadokawa confirmed the delay through its digital platform, KadoComi. Matsuki indicated that the break will allow for recovery and preparation to ensure future production maintains a high visual standard.
