Pafos FC recently secured a 1-1 draw against Riga in the UEFA Conference League League Phase at the Alphamega Stadium. While Biel equalized for the home side in the 77th minute, the stalemate has limited the club’s chances of advancing in the competition. Financially, the result earned the club €133,000, contributing to a total of €3,303,000 in guaranteed tournament revenues to date.

Following the European result, the club has faced domestic pressure and criticism regarding instability. The team has entered a period of stagnation, failing to secure a victory in its last two matches, which included a draw against APOEL.

Under the leadership of coach Tomislav Pićak, the club is now attempting to end its winless streak in the Cyprus League. As the team prepares for a 7th-round away match against Nea Salamis, squad availability remains a concern; Goldar, Pepe, Mamatov, and Ngamaleu are unavailable, though Zague and Patrao are available for selection.
