Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has launched and expanded the Daanish Schools initiative, a program designed to provide quality education to meritorious students from underprivileged and low-income backgrounds. The project began with the inauguration of a new facility in Islamabad, which features specialized laboratories, IT facilities, and an e-library to support students from the sixth to eighth grades.

Following the inauguration, the Prime Minister ordered the acceleration of the program through 24/7 construction of additional schools across the country. To modernize the initiative, Sharif directed officials to integrate artificial intelligence and information technology into the curriculum. He also called for improved infrastructure access in regions such as Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir, while mandating that all admissions remain strictly merit-based and subject to third-party validation.
