In mid-September, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the former Inspector General of Islamabad Police, was appointed Director General of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA). Captain (Retd.) Sohail Chaudhry was named the new Islamabad Police chief to succeed Rizvi. This transition coincides with efforts to expand the NCCIA’s manpower and implement AI-enabled surveillance systems.
