Actress Hania Aamir drew criticism for posting a video of herself dancing in a vehicle, which some viewed as insensitive following her previous messages regarding national tragedies in Pakistan. In a separate incident, influencer Alina Amir addressed the circulation of a purported private video, which she identified as an AI-generated deepfake intended for digital harassment. The OECD’s AI Incident Monitor documented the footage as a fabricated clip. Later, Hania Aamir transitioned into music with the release of her debut song, ‘Pablo’. This release sparked online debates regarding musical originality after listeners compared the track to Shae Gill’s song ‘Insecurity’. While some users speculated on the timing of Gill’s subsequent acoustic release, singer Asim Azhar defended Aamir, describing the song as a ‘banger’ and advocating for music as a form of artistic expression. ## Timeline ### 2026-09-17: Hania Aamir and Shae Gill spark music debate in Pakistan Pakistani singer Shae Gill and actress Hania Aamir are at the center of a social media debate regarding musical similarities between their songs, ‘Insecurity’ and ‘Pablo’. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/hania-aamir-and-shae-gill-spark-music-debate-in-pakistan ### 2026-08-28: Pakistani influencers Hania Aamir and Alina Amir face social media controversies Pakistani influencers Hania Aamir and Alina Amir face scrutiny over a controversial dance video and a malicious AI-generated deepfake, respectively. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/pakistani-influencers-hania-aamir-and-alina-amir-face-social-media-controversies --- Cite as: Pakistani social media and celebrity controversies.
