These members protested limited debate times and a lack of democratic transparency, characterizing the situation as a “declared political crisis.” The opposition further alleged that the Mayor no longer maintains a functional majority and raised concerns regarding municipal financial management and increases in the waste tax (Tari).

Council President Giulio Tantillo has dismissed these allegations, describing the absences as an “incident of the path” rather than a systemic collapse. Tantillo maintained that the majority remains cohesive and supports the Mayor, asserting that sessions would resume with full attendance to address the administration's program.
