In Palmela, efforts to preserve and promote local wine and culinary heritage have continued through cultural celebrations and new institutional developments.

In July 2026, the Associação das Festas de Palmela announced the 63rd edition of the Festa das Vindimas, scheduled for September. The festival, themed ‘A Tradição que nos Une’, aims to honor the region’s wine heritage despite ongoing financial-sustainability challenges.

Following this, on August 14, 2026, the Associação Confraria Enogastronómica de Palmela was formally established. Serving as a successor to the C.G.P., this new brotherhood is dedicated to protecting the authentic enology and gastronomy of the Palmela region and developing projects to attract visitors to the area.
