Panamanian national football teams are focusing on youth development and international competition. The senior national team recently completed an Asian tour featuring matches against India, New Zealand, and Ecuador. The tour, led by coach Thomas Christiansen, served to integrate a new generation of players, with all three goals scored by debutants under the age of 23.

While the senior team demonstrated strong ball movement, Christiansen noted difficulties in converting possession into decisive scoring opportunities. Simultaneously, the Panama Men’s U-17 National Team has entered its eleventh training microcycle in preparation for the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Qatar, where they are scheduled to face Qatar, Greece, and Egypt.
