The Government of Paraná has announced the ‘Verão Maior Paraná 2027’ program, which combines cultural events with significant coastal infrastructure investments for the 2026/2027 summer season.

Cultural programming includes free musical performances by national artists in Matinhos and Pontal do Paraná during January and February, alongside various sports and leisure activities. 

To support the coastline, the state confirmed R$ 321.4 million in infrastructure projects for Guaratuba. A primary component is a R$ 296.8 million revitalization project involving beach nourishment to expand sand strips by up to 100 meters across 4.7 kilometers. This work will utilize approximately 1.1 million cubic meters of sand and include maritime structures for erosion control, drainage improvements, and new accessibility features such as sidewalks and bike lanes.
