The 2026 Rolex Paris Masters continues at the Plenitude Arena. Following the announcement of the main draw, Italian player Lorenzo Musetti has emerged as a significant contender.

Musetti advanced through the early stages by defeating Hubert Hurkacz in a match featuring two tiebreaks, with a score of 7:6(3), 7:6(10). He subsequently upset the top seed and world number one, Alexander Zverev, in the second round. Musetti, ranked 24th, won the match 6:7(5), 2:6 in approximately one hour and 40 minutes.

Musetti is now scheduled to face Frenchman Luca van Assche in the round of 16. Van Assche, ranked 47th, advanced to this stage after defeating Mariano Navone and Learner Tien. The two players recently met in the quarterfinals of the Lyon ATP 250 tournament, where Musetti won in three sets. Musetti has demonstrated strong form on European indoor hard courts following a title win in Lyon.

Other tournament developments include Arthur Fils securing a spot in the ATP Finals in Turin, making him the first French representative to qualify for the season finale in ten years. Additionally, Flavio Cobolli has secured qualification for the ATP Finals, becoming the sixth player to qualify for the tournament. The Paris Masters features a prize pool exceeding 6.3 million euros.
