Paris has received high marks in recent travel industry rankings. A study by BC Game identified the city as the world’s coziest destination for autumn breaks, citing its high density of cafés, bookstores, and parks as key factors in its ‘Coziness Score’.

Following this, Paris was named the top city in Europe in the 2026 Condé Nast Traveller Readers’ Choice Awards. This ranking, which measures reader satisfaction regarding landmarks, hotels, shopping, and gastronomy, saw Paris move from outside the top 20 in the previous year to the number one position. Factors such as the reopening of the Grand Palais and improved swimming conditions in the Seine were noted as potential contributors to this rise.
