Parques de Sintra has been nominated for the 2026 World Travel Awards in the category of ‘World’s Leading Conservation Company’. This nomination acknowledges the organization’s management of cultural and natural heritage sites, such as the Pena National Palace, Monserrate Palace, the Capuchos Convent, and the Moors Castle.

To support these preservation efforts, the organization is conducting significant restoration projects, including a 2.7 million euro restoration of the Royal Chapel at the Sintra National Palace and a 3 million euro project for structural and roofing recovery at Monserrate Palace, both slated for completion by 2027. 

In subsequent reports, it was noted that this marks the 14th consecutive year that Parques de Sintra has received a nomination for this award.
