Bulgaria is conducting partial mayoral elections across several settlements to fill vacancies caused by parliamentary transitions, early mandate terminations, or deaths. These include municipal elections in Polski Trambesh and various village elections.

In Malo Konare, located in the Pazardzhik municipality, the election follows the death of Doncho Tsarvulanov on October 7. Security was increased in the village to prevent irregularities such as vote-buying. Following the votes held on October 18, initial results showed Nurgin Ahmed Basri of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS) was elected mayor in the first round in the village of Dragomazh. In Polski Trambesh, Rosen Rusanov ran as the sole candidate, while a runoff is required in Yavorevo between Stanimir Stoychev (Vazrazhdane) and Zhecho Zhechev (GERB).

In the village of Malorad, located in the Borovan Municipality, a partial election was also held. This vote follows a controversial 2023 election where commission members were found to have manipulated preferences, resulting in two members receiving suspended prison sentences. For the current election, five candidates competed for the post among 1,330 eligible voters. Tanya Nikolova, the secretary of the Borovan Municipality, reported that no irregularities occurred during the process.

If no candidate is elected in the first round in any of the locations, a second round is scheduled for October 25, 2026. This runoff will coincide with presidential and vice-presidential elections but will be conducted as separate electoral proceedings.
