Donald Valverde, a 37-year-old corporal with the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office in Florida, was arrested and fired following allegations of child sexual abuse. Sheriff Chris Nocco reported that the abuse involved an underage victim with whom Valverde had a “custodial relationship” and that the incidents occurred off-duty over a “lengthy period of time.”

Valverde faces multiple charges, including two counts of lewd and lascivious molestation—one of which is a life felony—and one count of unlawful sexual activity with a minor. Sheriff Nocco described the details of the case as “absolutely horrendous” and stated that Valverde had “embarrassed the profession.”
