Patronato’s position in the Primera Nacional has become precarious following a 2-0 defeat against Agropecuario. The loss, which included goals from Juan Cruz Vega and Braian Aranda, allowed Chacarita to move ahead of Patronato in the standings.

As a result, Patronato faces a decisive final round against Atlético Rafaela to determine their ability to remain in the division. Their survival depends on their own performance and the outcome of the match between Chacarita and Chicago. Under AFA regulations, any ties in points for relegation are resolved via a neutral-ground playoff. Additionally, authorities are awaiting approval from the Santa Fe Police regarding whether Patronato fans will be permitted to travel to Rafaela for the upcoming fixture.
