Sources: 3. Developments: 2. Paysandu Sport Club has announced a presidential election scheduled for November 3, featuring a single registered slate named ‘Papão da Curuzu’. Led by incumbent president Márcio Tuma, the slate includes vice-presidential candidates Diego Moura and Ícaro Sereni. Although only one slate is running, the election is not an automatic acclamation; Tuma must secure more than 50% of the valid votes from approximately 1,450 eligible voters to remain in office. The election will also determine members for the club’s Fiscal and Deliberative Councils. The upcoming vote carries significant implications for the club’s technical and administrative direction. The results will decide the future of coach Mazola Júnior and football executive Marcelo Sant’Ana for the 2027 season. Tuma, who took leadership in December 2025, has been managing the club through substantial financial difficulties, including approximately R$ 16 million in debt and a judicial recovery process initiated in February 2026. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-12: Paysandu election to determine future of coach and executive The future of Paysandu coach Mazola Júnior and executive Marcelo Sant’Ana for 2027 depends on the outcome of the club's November 3 election, where Márcio Tuma's slate is the sole candidate. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/paysandu-election-to-determine-future-of-coach-and-executive ### 2026-10-05: Paysandu Sport Club announces single-slate presidential election Paysandu Sport Club's upcoming election on November 3 will feature a single slate led by Márcio Tuma, who must secure a majority of votes to continue his leadership amid the club's financial recovery efforts. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/paysandu-sport-club-announces-single-slate-presidential-election --- Cite as: Paysandu Sport Club presidential election.
