Two separate incidents involving pedestrians have been reported in Nowy Sącz.

In early October, a 50-year-old man was killed while crossing a pedestrian walkway with his dog. Investigators determined that a 21-year-old driver in a Volkswagen Passat was participating in an illegal street race with a BMW, traveling at approximately 120 km/h in a 60 km/h zone. The driver bypassed a vehicle yielding to the pedestrian, striking the man. A 20-year-old BMW driver was also detained in connection with the race.

On October 27, a 73-year-old man was struck by a vehicle in the city's Market Square. Local police reported that a 22-year-old driver lost control of a BMW, causing the vehicle to mount the sidewalk. The pedestrian was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. Following the incident, the 22-year-old driver was stripped of his driving license.
