In North Jakarta, IPC Terminal Petikemas implemented a ‘Fit to Drive’ program at the Marunda Container Truck Garage, providing free health checks and eyeglasses to 150 container truck drivers to mitigate vision-related risks. Additionally, PT Jasa Armada Indonesia Tbk conducted management walkthroughs at Semayang and Malundung ports to assess fleet readiness, personnel, and service quality for pilotage and towage services.

Recent developments show a shift toward environmental sustainability and green maritime technology. PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim (PJM) and PT Asian Bulk Logistics (ABL) are conducting a strategic study to develop electric tugboats (e-tugs) to improve efficiency and reduce carbon emissions, with Tanjung Priok and Tanjung Perak ports identified as potential pilot sites.
