Pendine Park has announced plans to develop a £15 million dementia care facility near Wrexham, Wales. The project, named Pen-y-Don, is intended to address increasing demand for specialized care.

The proposed 77-bed facility will be located on a 12-acre site and will feature small, family-sized units for eight to 10 residents. The facility plans to integrate advanced technology, including artificial intelligence and radar movement monitors, to assist caregivers and monitor residents. 

Construction is scheduled to begin in 2027 and is expected to take approximately 15 months. The development is projected to create more than 200 new jobs, contributing to Pendine Park’s total workforce of over 1,000 employees.
