Penn State hosted No. 19 USC for its annual White Out game at Beaver Stadium on October 10, 2026. Despite a record crowd of 114,419 fans, the USC Trojans defeated the Nittany Lions 31-23.

USC quarterback Jayden Maiava led the Trojans with 301 passing yards and three touchdowns, improving USC to a 6-1 record. The Trojans' explosive offense also received contributions from receivers Trent Mosley and Tanook Hines. While Penn State quarterback Rocco Becht led an offense that recorded 357 total yards, a crucial fourth-quarter turnover prevented the team from closing the scoring gap. The loss drops Penn State to a 3-3 overall record and 0-3 in Big Ten play.

The defeat increases pressure on Penn State head coach Matt Campbell as he manages a transition period following the departure of previous leadership. The event also featured the debut of a choreographed halftime drone show, which utilized LED-lit drones to perform synchronized animations over Medlar Field at Lubrano Park.
