Despite being approached by representatives for both President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and Senator Flávio Bolsonaro, she stated that her priority is the governance of Pernambuco and that she will not recommend a specific candidate to voters. On judicial matters, Lyra expressed support for discussions regarding changes to the Judiciary, such as term limits for Supreme Court (STF) ministers, but maintained that these debates should not be part of the electoral campaign.
