Sources: 10. Developments: 2. Political leaders within the Peronist movement in Argentina have begun addressing the need for internal restructuring and leadership renewal. In Entre Ríos, Juan Carlos Cresto called for the Provincial Council of the Justicialist Party to lead a reconstruction of the movement. Cresto advocated for internal elections to define future candidacies and raised concerns regarding the transparency of party finances, specifically how mandatory contributions from elected officials are managed. Following these calls for reform, Jorge Ferraresi addressed the movement in Villa Martelli, emphasizing the necessity of changing political construction methods after recent electoral losses. Ferraresi defended the use of primary elections (PASO) as a tool to organize leadership rather than as a means of confrontation. He also commented on internal dynamics, stating there is ‘more Kicillofism in the people than in the leaders,’ and dismissed the possibility of a Cristina Kirchner candidacy due to her current judicial situation, describing such a run as ‘unreal’ at this time. ## Timeline ### 2026-09-29: Jorge Ferraresi discusses Peronist leadership and internal elections Former Avellaneda Mayor Jorge Ferraresi addressed the future of Peronism in Vicente López, dismissing a Cristina Kirchner candidacy and defending internal competition to build electoral unity. 8 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/jorge-ferraresi-discusses-peronist-leadership-and-internal-elections ### 2026-09-23: Juan Carlos Cresto calls for Peronist party reforms Veteran leader Juan Carlos Cresto calls for internal elections and greater financial transparency within the Justicialist Party in Entre Ríos, Argentina. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/juan-carlos-cresto-calls-for-peronist-party-reforms --- Cite as: Peronist party leadership and reform discussions.
