Persepolis FC entered the next phase of the Iranian Premier League following a one-month hiatus, with head coach Mehdi Tartar preparing tactical adjustments to address squad injuries, specifically the loss of Ali Alipour. Potential changes included repositioning Amirhossein Mohammadi to increase attacking creativity.

Following these preparations, Persepolis played a postponed seventh-week match against Khaybar Khorramabad, resulting in a 0-0 draw at Takhti Stadium. During the match, a penalty awarded to Persepolis was overturned following a VAR review. Despite the scoreless result, the draw moved Persepolis to 17 points, placing them at the top of the league table ahead of Tractor due to goal difference.

Looking ahead to the tenth week of the league, Persepolis is scheduled to host Foolad. Manager Mehdi Tartar expressed confidence in his team’s ability to create scoring opportunities, noting that the current squad is “significantly different from last season” and is focused on internal development. While Persepolis aims to maintain its position at the top of the table, Foolad head coach Hamid Motahari has emphasized a proactive approach and a winning mentality for the upcoming match.
