Atlus is developing a remake of the 2008 RPG Persona 4, titled Persona 4 Revival, targeting an 18 February 2027 release on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Game Pass. The project features upgraded graphics, a modernized UI, and MAPPA-animated cutscenes. Combat mechanics have been significantly overhauled to include a “Prime Time” gauge for zero-cost skills, “Send Flying” status-spreading, a “Guard” system for blocking and countering, and “Baton Touch” for turn passing. While these updates aim for a “stress-free” experience, some commentators have expressed concern that such features might reduce strategic depth.
