French singer Hugues Aufray has recently been the subject of media attention regarding both his personal life and a security incident at his residence.

Aufray, 97, has spoken publicly about his marriage to Murielle Megevand, who is 45 years his junior. The couple married in September 2023 following the death of Aufray’s long-time wife in 2022. Aufray noted that his relationship with Megevand serves as a central motivation for his professional work.

In October, Aufray was the victim of an attempted burglary at his home in Marly-le-Roi. Two individuals entered the residence through an open window and demanded valuables, but they fled after the singer's stepmother triggered the home alarm. No injuries or losses were reported, and the Versailles prosecutor's office has been notified.
