Peru has secured long-term financial and technical support from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean (CAF) for the 2026-2031 period. 

Through cooperation with the Ministry of Economy and Finance, CAF intends to prioritize strategic sectors such as transportation, tourism, citizen security, and national natural gas infrastructure, alongside assistance for El Niño climate mitigation. The IDB is preparing eight new financing operations and evaluating further support to address potential climate-related emergencies, with the goal of strengthening public-private investment and regional integration.
