The Peruvian government is implementing various initiatives to support rural development and sustainability. The Ministry of Housing, Construction, and Sanitation, in coordination with the National Civil Service Authority, conducted training for municipal technical areas to improve the sustainable management of rural water and sanitation services across numerous districts.

Complementing these infrastructure management efforts, the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation is pursuing strategies to support rural youth. This approach focuses on four pillars—water access, technical assistance, market integration, and financing—to encourage entrepreneurship and reduce rural migration by making the agricultural sector more viable.
