Urban redevelopment projects in Pescara have progressed through infrastructure construction and site management. In late September, construction reached a milestone at the former ‘ex area di risulta’ with the installation of the first of 62 pillars for a new four-level, 18,000-square-meter parking structure. This project includes environmental remediation of contaminated soil and the future addition of a large park.

In early October, local police cleared an illegal encampment located behind the site designated for a new bus terminal near the railway station. Authorities removed approximately ten individuals from the fenced area, which contained several tents. Following the intervention, the site was cleaned by Ambiente Spa as the area awaits the commencement of construction for the terminal.
