Peter Remmert, a striker on loan from FC Schalke 04, set a new 3. Liga record by scoring a hattrick within six minutes. The feat occurred during MSV Duisburg’s 3-2 comeback victory against TSG Hoffenheim II, where Remmert scored between the 71st and 77th minutes to overturn a 0-2 deficit.

This performance surpassed the previous record of seven minutes set by Ali Lukunku in 2009. MSV Duisburg coach Dietmar Hirsch described the turnaround as “unbelievable,” praising the team's mentality and passion.

While MSV Duisburg currently leads the German 3. Liga, the club is navigating a period of mixed results and injury concerns. Following the record-breaking win, the team suffered a 4-2 defeat against 1. FC Saarbrücken. Furthermore, midfielder Jakob Bookjans has sustained a serious cruciate ligament tear, an injury expected to sideline him for several months and potentially end his season. The club is now preparing for a high-stakes match against Viktoria Köln at the Schauinsland-Reisen-Arena.
