Team Peugeot TotalEnergies announced that Robert Shwartzman will join its Hypercar driver roster for the 2027 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) season. Shwartzman, who is returning to the WEC after competing in the NTT IndyCar Series, is scheduled to participate in test sessions with the Peugeot 9X8 throughout the remainder of 2026 to prepare for his debut.

His addition to the team follows the planned departures of Stoffel Vandoorne, Malthe Jakobsen, and Theo Pourchaire at the end of the current season.
