In August 2026, several major Philippine firms reported mixed financial results for the first half of the year.

San Miguel Food and Beverage Inc. (SMFB) initially reported a 2% rise in revenue to ₱205.3 billion, noting that a 5% increase in its Food segment helped offset a 1% decline in beer sales. While its net income and operating income saw slight declines, Chairman Ramon S. Ang described the business as resilient against supply-chain pressures and softer consumer spending.

San Miguel Corporation (SMC) later reported a 48% increase in consolidated core net income to ₱54.2 billion, with revenue rising 34% to ₱964.1 billion due to growth in the Fuel and Oil, Power, and Food sectors. However, reported consolidated net income fell 44% to ₱37.7 billion, a decline attributed to foreign exchange effects and non-core items.

Other companies reported varying performance levels. Semirara Mining and Power Corp. saw a 2% increase in net income to ₱8.58 billion, driven largely by its power division. Conversely, SSI Group Inc. experienced a 39.5% decline in first-half net income, totaling ₱273.3 million, as rising operating expenses such as store rentals and personnel costs impacted profits despite an increase in net sales.
