Piaggio Aerospace has seen recent commercial activity through the sale of two P. 180 Avanti EVO aircraft to a Turkish operator. This sale brings the total units sold for the EVO model to 40.

The P. 180 Avanti platform is celebrating 40 years since its first flight in 1986. The aircraft family has now exceeded 270 total units sold across all variants. 

Following an administrative restructuring, the company is undergoing a transition as the Turkish aerospace firm Baykar prepares to formally acquire Piaggio in June 2025. During this period, the manufacturer is also developing the next-generation Avanti NX, which secured an initial order in April 2026.
