Center-right political groups in Pioltello, including Fratelli d’Italia, Lega, and Forza Italia, have proposed that the Prefecture of Milan establish a ‘red zone’ in critical areas of the municipality. 

The motion seeks to address issues such as drug dealing, illegal immigration, unauthorized occupations, and disturbances of the peace. If approved, the designation would grant law enforcement enhanced powers, such as the ability to implement urban expulsion orders or remove individuals with criminal records for 48 hours. These zones are intended for areas with high levels of violence or degradation and can be renewed for up to 18 months.
