Piotr Zieliński has highlighted Inter Milan’s resilience and competitive ambitions in both domestic and European football.

Following a comeback victory against Udinese, where Zieliński provided an assist to overcome a 0-2 deficit, he described the team’s reaction as being like a ‘great and crazy Inter’. He noted the importance of team cohesion while emphasizing the need to improve their initial energy and concentration in matches.

Speaking at the Gentleman FairPlay Award, Zieliński reiterated the club’s high aspirations, stating, ‘We have the dream of winning the Champions. We will give it our all.’ He reflected on a performance against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu, noting that despite a loss, the team’s ability to dominate possession demonstrated their quality. Domestically, he identified winning the Scudetto as a primary objective, acknowledging intense competition from clubs including Roma, Juventus, Napoli, Milan, and Como.

However, Zieliński recently faced significant media criticism following Inter Milan’s 3-4 defeat against Club Brugge in the Champions League. Italian media outlets issued low ratings for the midfielder, with ‘Corriere della Sera’ describing his performance as ‘catastrophic’ and SportMediaset labeling his play ‘irritating’. Reports specifically cited errors such as a lost duel with Hugo Vetlesen and a failure to prevent a counterattack by Charles De Ketelaere.
