The Municipality of Pisa announced updates to its demographic and electoral services, effective October 1, 2026.

To reduce wait times, residency applications at the central Sesta Porta office will now require prior appointments, bookable online or via email. The appointment system for Electronic Identity Cards (CIE) is also being expanded to include decentralized offices in Riglione, Don Bosco, and Marina di Pisa.

In addition to registry updates, the city has opened applications for citizens to serve as polling station presidents and scrutineers for upcoming national elections. Applications for presidents must be submitted by October 31, while scrutineer applications are accepted until November 30.
