Prime Minister Narendra Modi marked the 12th anniversary of his monthly radio program, Mann Ki Baat, by delivering its 139th episode. Describing the program as a “pilgrimage” used to connect with Indian families, the Prime Minister stated the broadcast allows him to celebrate the “extraordinary work,” dedication, and spirit of service of ordinary citizens.

During the address, he highlighted community-led initiatives, such as organic farming efforts by the ‘Kheti Virasat Mission’ in Punjab and the restoration of the Hewel River in Uttarakhand. He also promoted the “Vocal for Local” and “Atmanirbhar Bharat” movements, noting the growth of the Khadi sector and the importance of indigenous products ahead of the festive season.

Additional topics included technological advancements, specifically brain-imaging research at IIT Madras utilizing the ‘Param Shakti’ supercomputer. The Prime Minister also encouraged public participation in organ donation, the upcoming ‘Run for Unity’ on October 31, and maintaining cleanliness in preparation for the Diwali and Chhath festivals.

In response to the broadcast, BJP workers and leaders organized listening sessions across various regions. In Rajasthan, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma attended a session at Khatu Shyamji, while in Delhi, more than 6,700 booths hosted sessions to discuss local community efforts.
