Various poetry festivals and literary events have taken place across Italy. In early August, Montedoro hosted the ‘Visioni poetiche’ event at the Oratory of Santa Maria del Rosario, featuring readings by poets such as Rosetta Farruggio and Carmelina Ingrao. Concurrently, Melicuccà in Calabria inaugurated the third edition of the ‘Lorenzo Calogero’ Poetry Festival, supported by the Region of Calabria and the Leonardo Sinisgalli Foundation.

Later in August, the Poesia Festival in Vignola scheduled a special event titled ‘La meglio gioventù’ to showcase a new generation of Italian poets. This program featured seven young poets, including 16-year-old Jasmeen Kaur, whose work received recognition from President Sergio Mattarella, and award-winning author Luca Chendi. The readings were accompanied by musical performances from Maria Serena Salvemini-Molly and Pietro Laera.
