Pokémon GO has hosted a series of themed in-game events during late August and September 2026.

In late August, the ‘Pokémon XP & Pokémon World Championships 2026’ event featured a Pikachu wearing a ‘Cosmog-style outfit’ in ★1 Raid Battles. The event also included field research tasks offering rewards such as Piplup, Rowlet, or Galarian Magikarp.

Following this, the ‘Pokémon Horizons: The Series’ event launched in mid-September. This event introduced a Charmander wearing ‘Friedel glasses’ that could be evolved into themed versions of Charmeleon and Charizard. Other features included Pikachu wearing a captain’s hat in 1-star raids, specific wild spawn cycles, and increased chances of finding Kecleon at PokéStops.
