The Pokémon Company International has announced plans to open a permanent retail store in London by 2029. This location will represent the brand’s first permanent physical retail space outside of Asia, following the closure of a New York location in 2005.

The store is intended to function as a community hub for fans, referred to as ‘Trainers,’ featuring exclusive merchandise, limited-edition apparel, and interactive brand experiences. While official Pokémon Center stores currently operate in Japan, Singapore, and Taiwan, the company noted that the London location will not officially be called a ‘Pokémon Center’ at this time. This move is part of a broader initiative to launch several permanent stores globally outside of the Asian market.
