Poland is advancing its Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) program in the Gulf of Gdańsk to enhance energy security and establish the nation as a regional gas hub.

Technical milestones include the successful inspection of the 250 km Gdańsk-Gustorzyn gas pipeline using an electronic sensor-equipped device. This pipeline is a critical component intended to transport natural gas from a floating LNG terminal to the national transmission system. The project is supported by a 2.2 billion PLN loan from Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego via the National Recovery Plan.

In conjunction with the terminal construction in Górki Zachodnie, GAZ-SYSTEM and the city of Gdańsk have entered an agreement to fund local infrastructure and environmental initiatives. These measures, resulting from social dialogue, include the construction of bicycle paths and parking spaces, as well as the planting of 90,000 trees to enhance the local area's natural value.
